Our company was in charge of the product design and structural design of wireless charger in collaboration with a customer participatory transaction service with an eye also on AI, IoT, and blockchain applications.
This is equipped with a function for outputting parameters from a special smartphone app connected via Bluetooth using the light emitted through a top slit going around the round body and the reflected light from the bottom.
During the initial development stage a demonstration model was created and a study conducted to increase knowledge of how the light would be expressed depending on the LED brightness and the distance between the reflected subject (desk top, etc.) and the light source. The verification results were then used to comprehensively study the body shape and internal structure through close communication between the designer and the engineer to create a product that can express both a “highly visible light that functions as a parameter display” and “light with a soft impression that is welcomed in the living space.”
In addition, we were also collectively in charge of the design and direction for the project’s product packaging, product promotion movie, and product web page.
中部電力株式会社が展開するAI・IoT・ブロックチェーン活用も視野に入れた顧客参加型取引サービス「これからデンキ」に連携するワイヤレス充電器のプロダクトデザイン及び構造設計を担当。
円形の筐体外周の上部スリットからの発光と下部からの反射光によって、Bluetooth®にて接続されたスマートフォンの専用アプリからのパラメーターを出力する機能を搭載している。
製品開発の初期段階では、LEDの輝度や反射させる対象（机の天板等）と光源の距離の違いにより現れる光がどのような表情を見せるのか、検証用モデルを製作してのスタディにて知見を高めた。そして、検証結果を踏まえた上、デザイナーとエンジニアが密にコミュニケーションをとりながら本体形状や内部構造を総合的に検討することで「パラメーター表示として機能する視認性の高い光」と「生活空間に受け入れられる柔らかな印象の光」という両者の表現を可能とするプロダクトを目指し製作された。
また、当プロジェクトでは製品パッケージや製品プロモーションムービー・製品WEBページのデザイン及びディレクションも一括して担当した。
